Just in Case You Were Wondering...

Places I will go and things I will see:
1) Belgrade, Serbia (3 weeks)
2) Podgorica, Montenegro (1 week)
3) Dubrovnik, Croatia (Day trip)
4) The Serbian countryside (Day Trip)
5) Monasteries in Bosnia

A few interesting facts I learned about Serbia:
1) There is no written law declaring a legal drinking age- although some stores will not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 16
2) There are human traces in found in Serbia that date back to 40,000 B.C
3) When meeting a Serbian for the first time it is customary to shake their right had, with every meeting from then on it is customary to give 3 kisses to the cheeks
4) On Christmas Eve, the owner of the house goes out early in the morning to collect an oak branch which is brought into the house at sunset that evening.

Not Getting My Hopes Up Just Yet....oops....Too Late :/

I think about my possible trip to Serbia almost every second of everyday.  I really hope that this works out.  I tried not to get my hopes up, but I just cannot help it.  I've already read every inch of the informational page on the trip/ e-mailed my professor about it twice/ visited the trips blog about fifty times/ Google mapped each destination of the trip/ and planned out what outfits I am going to wear each day (I know...crazy). Along with all of this craziness, I am planning on getting a job next semester - just so I can pay for the trip.  Complete madness.  This summer is such a short time away.  It is hard to believe that  I could be in Serbia in 5 months.  5 short months.  All that has to happen in that short time period is incredible.  I have to save up money to fund the trip/ get conformation on the trip/ find out my itinerary (for the trip)/ read my scheduled books for the trip/ read the books that I have to read before I embark on my Serbian adventure/ renew my passport.......and the list goes on..............Serbia is so close............yet so far away......
